1988 Schwinn Circuit Project - Holding Pattern

Life, family, the flu, and the recent opening of Star Trek have all gotten in the way of me and my Circuit.
There's still gobs of work to be done and tons of pictures to take.
I did however find a few chunks of time here and there to finish polishing up the calipers of the front brake, which look spectacular.
An interesting item of note, as I was inspecting the various small parts of the disassembled caliper, I came across what looked like a washer with something like 12 tiny captive ball bearings around the surface, presumably to smooth out the caliper action. My parts manual seems to indicate that this was unique to Sante, as I don't see this piece on the Dura Ace or 600 calipers of that era. Cool! Another part that's uniquely Sante.
Unfortunately, and astute readers will know where I'm going with this again, as I was inspecting this unique part, I popped off the black plastic washer on the backside to get a closer look. Immediately, all the tiny bearings scattered everywhere like cockroaches. If I was a cartoon character, you'd see a big black scribble in a thought balloon above my head. As soon as I was done spewing profanities, I was able to locate all but two of the bearings on the floor, in the creases of my shorts, and nestled in my shoes. Then I put everything away carefully since I was obviously not in the right state of mind when I started to leave well enough alone.
